The Second New Zealand SandCastle Competition

WAS HELD ON Saturday 2 FEBRUARY 2013.

SUPPORT THIS VERY SUCCESSFUL SUMMERTIME FESTIVAL EVENT VIEW THE

SAND SCULPTURES ON NEW BRIGHTON BEACH CHRISTCHURCH ANYTIME AFTER 10.00am.

The "Kids-N-Kastles" Childrens Sand Sculpturing Competition is open to Children 12 years and under. Time 10.00am to 12.00pm Presentation of prizes 1.00pm Enter online or on the day before 9.45am

The Family Teams Sand Sculpturing Competition is open to Family teams of up to 6 people made up of 1 or 2 Adults with 5 or 4 Children. Time 9.30am to 2.30pm Presentation of prizes 3.00pm Enter online or on the day before 9.15am

The Adult Individual Sand Sculpturing Competition is open to all Individuals. Time 9.30am to 2.30pm Presentation of prizes 3.00pm Enter online or on the day before 9.15am

The Adult Teams Sand Sculpturing Competition is open to Teams of up to 6 people. Time 9.30am to 2.30pm Presentation of prizes 3.00pm Enter online or on the day before 9.15am

New zealands first sandcastle competitionIt will be held on the beach in front of the southern car park by the Library on Marine Parade New Brighton. This could well be extended to suit the number of entries on either side of the pier.

 

The south car park will be closed to traffic and used to stage the event, this will be used for stalls and vendors to sell food and other items, also a stage to view the progress of the sandcastle building.

A marque is to be erected on the lawn area adjacent to the library, this will be used as the administration centre.

It will be a family focused event with the theme of:

"A BIG FUN, HAPPY DAY" at the beach, building sandcastles and new friendships.

Food stalls .... Bouncy Castles .... Pony Rides... Water Walking
